Scent of the Forest
Translation of article in La Magazine, January 2003:
"...More than 20 years ago when I was strolling in the SOHO area in
New York City, this wonderful scent attracted me and led me to a cozy shop, ZONA. Due to lack of communicating ability, I ended up buying
small articles with the scent, failing to find out what exactly the scent
originated from.
A year later, not being able to forget the scent..., I was in the same shop with an English dictionary.
The following year the ZONA shop opened in Tokyo and I finally was able to fill my room with this lovely scent. However, ZONA did not do very well, and disappeared within 10 years. This time I wrote to New Mexico, longing to embrace the forest mist again. I have it now, for good."
